Site Feasibility Surveys
Feasibility study into your site
Wind Direct carry out feasibility studies prior to visiting a site. A desktop study will determine whether a location is likely to have a clear flow of good wind and space for a turbine. We look at the factors that can reduce the usable space for turbines; such as residential dwellings, airports and any areas of ecological or cultural heritage value.
Once the project goes public, we launch a dedicated project website such as this to enable public consultation. We hope to be able to provide you with information, and encourage you to ask questions, allowing you to make an informed decision on our proposals.
Apply for planning permission
Before submitting the planning application we prepare all the supporting documentation.
Consultations are made with various bodies such as the MoD, airports and the RSPB. We also carry out a number of in-depth studies looking at site design, turbine selection, wind monitoring and environmental impacts.
