Wind Energy Scheme
Studies
We undertake a number of surveys to assess the impact of the proposed Wind Energy Scheme.
A number of specialist consultants as well as members of the Wind Direct team will compile the results of these studies, which will then be submitted alongside the planning application should it be forthcoming. These studies will include:
Environmental
-
cultural heritage
-
ecology and ornithology
-
hydrology and geology
-
landscape and visual impact
-
noise
-
Infrastructure (aviation, utilities, shadow flicker)
Technical
-
access
-
grid connection
-
wind speed
Further Studies
Initial feasibility work suggests that the above criteria will be met at the site, and more detailed studies are currently underway to confirm this. Subject to the results of these studies and the results of consultation with various stakeholders, a planning resubmission for the wind turbines is likely to be submitted during 2014.
