Monitoring the operation and maintenance needs of each turbine is very important in order to maximise productivity. We monitor the operation of wind projects 24 hours a day for the lifetime of the turbine.

 

Through predictive modelling and proactive forecasting of maintenance needs we are able to achieve 99% turbine availability.  This ensures our turbines are constantly providing electricity to displace that generated from burning fossil fuels. 

 

Maximise environmental benefits by selling electricity

If the site is not using all the turbine electricity generated, it can be sold back into the national grid, thus maintaining carbon dioxide savings.

 

Decommissioning

The wind energy scheme is expected to have an operational life of approximately 25 years. After this time, all options for the future can be considered and, if necessary, the turbine site can be decommissioned and returned to its former use.
