The Wind Energy Scheme

The Kingspan Wind Energy Scheme consists of two wind turbines up to 80m high and 0.9 megawatts (MW) generation capacity, located within Kingspan's site, Holywell.

If approved the electricity will be supplied to Kingspan.  On average, 95% of the electricity from the wind turbines will be supplied to Kingspans site.  Securing a supply of electricity at predictable cost and protecting the site from the volatility of future electricity pricing will be a key benefit towards ensuring the long-term future and sustainability of the Kingspan site.

The map below indicates the location of the proposed turbines.
